About this treatment

Kira’s Resurfacing Blend™ is a fully customized, medium-depth ScitonStaX™ treatment designed for patients who need more correction than a traditional light resurfacing treatment, without automatically jumping into aggressive full-field resurfacing. Rather than treating every area of the face the same way, Kira strategically combines and layers technologies based on your skin, your concerns, the amount of correction needed, and your desired downtime. Your personalized StaX may incorporate BBL HEROic™, NanoLaserPeel™, MicroLaserPeel™, ProFractional™, targeted 2940 nm erbium resurfacing, or a combination of modalities and depths within the same treatment.

What to expect

What exactly is Kira’s Resurfacing Blend™?

Kira’s Resurfacing Blend™ is not one specific laser treatment or preset protocol. It is a fully customized ScitonStaX™ treatment that allows Kira to combine technologies such as BBL HEROic™, NanoLaserPeel™, MicroLaserPeel™, ProFractional™ and targeted 2940 nm erbium resurfacing based on what your skin actually needs.

How will I know which lasers will be used?

That is determined during your consultation and skin assessment. Kira evaluates your pigmentation, texture, fine lines, scarring, sun damage, skin type and desired downtime, then selects the technologies, depths and treatment areas that make the most sense for your goals. Two patients booking Kira’s Resurfacing Blend™ may receive completely different treatments.

How much downtime should I expect?

Most patients should plan for approximately 4–7 days of visible downtime, but recovery varies depending on the combination and depth of resurfacing performed. Redness, swelling, dryness, peeling, bronzing and a sandpaper-like texture are common. Areas treated more aggressively may require additional healing time and will be discussed prior to treatment.

Is one treatment enough for my skin concerns?

It depends on what we are correcting. Many patients see a noticeable improvement after a single treatment, but deeper wrinkles, significant photodamage, scarring or more advanced texture concerns may require additional treatments or a different resurfacing approach. The goal is never to promise that one session will fix everything. It is to create the most effective treatment plan for your skin while staying within a level of downtime and intensity that makes sense for you.
